Payments & Facilities

What payment methods are accepted at Good Gumnuts?

We accept Wristband Payments, Card, and Cash.

At Good Gumnuts, your RFID wristband replaces cash, cards, and phones, so you can stay fully in the moment. Simply tap your wristband to pay for food, drinks, and merch across the site. It is fast, easy, and secure.

Cashless means:

  • Faster service and shorter queues

  • Safer payments, your balance is protected

  • Better control of your spending

  • Ability to request a refund on unused funds after the festival

Please remember to keep your wristband, or take a photo of the unique identifier on the back of your wristband, so you can request your refund after the event.

Many locations around the venue will still accept card and cash payments.

Why is there a Cashless Fee?

The cashless fee helps cover the technology and services that make this experience possible, including:

  • RFID wristbands and tap-to-pay infrastructure

  • Secure payment processing and fraud protection

  • On-site support teams and customer service

  • Ongoing improvements to speed, reliability, and usability

Think of it like a bank card fee.

There is also a fee when using your card. Cash payments do not incur a fee.

How do I get my money back?

Easy, but do not toss that wristband.

  • You will receive a refund email shortly after the festival.

  • You will then have two weeks to request your refund.

  • You will need your wristband ID number, located on the back of the band.

  • There is a 50c refund fee per refund.

  • No on-site refunds are available.

Do not throw your wristband away until refunds are complete.

Refunds must be requested during the two-week refund window after Good Gumnuts ends. Once that window closes, refunds are no longer available.

Where can I top up my wristband?

You can top up using:

  • Fever Wallet on your mobile. Scan the QR code on your wristband.

  • Top-up station. There will be one human-operated top-up station near the entrance to the festival.

  • Self-service kiosks:

    • One located in the camping area

    • Additional kiosks spread around the festival under covered areas

Can someone steal my money with a scanner?

No. Your funds are safe. Wristbands only work with approved festival machines. While they act like a card, they cannot be scanned remotely.

Can I check my balance without topping up?

Yes. You can check your balance and purchase history by:

  • Using the Fever Wallet

  • Scanning the QR code on your wristband

  • Using self-service kiosks

  • Asking staff at the bar to check your balance

Is cash and card still accepted?

Yes. Many points of sale will still accept cash and card, unless it is a Cashless or RFID-only service lane.

Can I use cash or EFTPOS to top up?

Top-ups are EFTPOS only. Cash top-ups are not available.

Can I transfer money between wristbands?

Sorry, credits cannot be transferred between wristbands.

What if I lose my wristband or it is stolen?

Act fast.

  • Lost or stolen wristbands must be reported so they can be deactivated immediately.

  • You can request a replacement and get re-accredited.

  • We are not responsible for funds lost before it is reported, so please let us know as soon as possible.
